Phil Souter discusses the challenges faced in making potential water sources drinkable using chemical technology.
Wednesday 7 December
The Chemistry Centre, London, W1J 0BA
Phil Souter, scientist at Procter & Gamble, discusses the challenges faced in making potential water sources (such as lakes, ponds, wells, flood water) drinkable using chemical technology. During the lecture he will touch upon the impact of unsafe water on people's lives particularly in some of the world's poorest countries and how water purification technologies have been designed to effectively and cheaply clean up dirty water sources. Phil will also explain how collaborative networks are now working together to get the 'PuR Purifier of Water' product to the people who need it most and the impact this can have.
